You can enter without a ticket and might snag a better seat by arriving early. Despite our late arrival due to traffic, we still managed to access the audience area. We attempted to contact the guide, hoping to just receive the tickets and enter independently, but they flatly refused to assist us at all! Disappointing!!
They canceled on us, claiming there wouldn't be an audience, but we decided to go anyway, and to our surprise, the Pope was there. They played with our time, but luckily, we still got to see it.
